Parish Ministries & Groups
Liturgical Ministries
Lectors: Those who proclaim the readings for mass.
Eucharistic Ministers: Those who help the priest prepare and distribute the Holy Eucharist during mass.
Altar Servers: Those who assist the priest at mass and other services.
Ushers: Those who assist the flow of traffic before and after mass. They ensure the mass run smoothly by helping with various things such as the collection and the gifts.
Choir: Those who praise God through their voice.
Requirements:
- Parish training
Church Cleaning
Volunteers who cleans the sanctuary weekly for one month a year.
Bereavement Committee
Volunteers that furnish repost meal to the bereaved family after a funeral.
Money Counters
Volunteers that help count the weekly collection once a month.
Requirements:
- Complete background check
Tel-A-Prayer
Group that prays for the sick or those in need of spiritual support.
Catholic Daughters
Faith filled organization serving our area, state, and nation through acts of charity.
Knights of Columbus
Group of men (18+) who offer physical, prayerful, and financial aid to members and the community.
Senior Group
Those over 55 to gather for good meal on the second Thursday of the month at St. Mary's hall or St. Martin's hall.
Young Adult Connection
Connecting adults, 18-25, in our parish with others in the Diocese of Beaumont to form a thriving community.
SMYLE & Jr. SMYLE
St. Mary and St. Martin Young Life Experience empowers young people, 6th-12th grade, to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today.
Faith Formation
Religious Education: Volunteer catechist teachers working with parents to proclaim Christ's works to children through sacraments, instructions, and community building service.
RCIA: Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is a programe designed for adults who is seeking to further learn the way of faith and strengthen their spiritual connection through the sacraments of initiation.
